The BIOsys skimmer is a pond attachment. The surface skimmer unit ensures the pond surface is kept clear of floating leaves, dust and foam as well as any other debris that might blow into the pond. The skimmer works by drawing all debris from the pond surface. The surface water with all floating particles are sucked into the skimmer filter through the large inlet of the pond skimmer. All  the water is then transferred into a separate standing filter basket that can be easily removed for cleaning. This filter basket can hold up to 30 litres (7 gallons) of coarse particles.

The Oase BIOsys skimmer looks better around the pond because of its natural stone look cover. The pond skimmer is designed for pump capacities up to 250 liters per minute (60 US galls per minute) and the Oase BIOsys skimmer works together with the 5500,10000 and 15000 OASE Aquamax filter pumps.
