The Hozelock Prima XL 9000 is similar to the Prima XL 15000 except that it has a float control switch. This automatic system allows the pump to switch on and off based upon levels in the pond or sump system. This system can be used to prevent your pond level dropping too far if you are away from your pond for any length of time. This can be a very beneficial feature if a leak develops somewhere in your pond system. The Prima XL pump will turn off before emptying the pond entirely. This will ensure the safety of your koi or goldfish stocks and will avoid damaging the submersible pump.

 To help installation, the Prima XL can be placed flat on the bottom of the pond or in an upright position or on its side. In a sump this ability to pump right down to floor level is very important. The Prima sump pump is often used in underground cellar or pit systems because of this feature.

Hozelock Prima pumps have been designed to work in all conditions and can handle solids up to 10mm making them excellent candidates for high pressure waterfall and pond filter systems. The Hozelock Prima XL pump's 230volt motor is housed in a protective stainless steel case for safety and protection. The pump has a ceramic sleeve and this rotates rotates on a shaft that is triple lip sealed to prevent damage to rotating parts in the event of excessive dirt. Hozelock claim the working parts provide continuous running beyond the two year guarantee period.
